ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
August 4th and 5th, 2023
For All Attendees: Building the Puzzle
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. -- Romans 12:2
The relationship between psychology and Christianity can be tricky. To some, aspects of psychology can seem like they are at direct odds with biblical counseling. Is there a way to integrate these two? Like pieces of a puzzle, we will show how we can bring these two practices together, creating a beautiful picture of whole healing.
Join us on Friday, August 4th and Saturday, August 5th as we journey on the pathways to healing. You'll leave with a greater understanding of how scripture portrays human nature comprehensively, how worldview can impact the practice of psychology, and how understanding the truths of Scripture can result in better care for others and ourselves.
This year's conference will take place both in-person, in Boston, Massachusetts, and online.
The conference is open to:
Training and licensed professional mental health clinicians
Those in full-time or part-time ministry
Adult lay leaders
Recovery group facilitators
Whether you attend in person or online, you will also have opportunities to connect with others on topics that interest you and have deeper discussions during our open breakout times.
For Mental Health Clinicians: A Special Invite for Servants of Souls
While all are welcome to join the Christian Counseling Conference, we want to extend a special invitation to professionals in the mental health field.
Jesus models for us these godly features of human existence for himself and his followers. He took his disciples (after a season of energy-draining human engagement) with him to retreat.
When the apostles returned, they reported to Jesus what they had done. Then he took them with him and they withdrew by themselves to a town called Bethsaida – Luke 9:10
The 2023 InsideOut Conference is such a time as this. Our topic: Pathways to Healing: The Integration of Biblical and Psychological Counseling will focus on how we can use our faith in the Scriptures to integrate with our knowledge of the human condition found in psychology.
For mental health professionals, we have not one, but two full days of content planned. Our Friday class offerings are for clinicians only, and on Saturday we have a dedicated track for mental health professionals. All six of these classes, along with our general sessions, are CE-eligible. You will also have opportunities to network and connect with your peers at roundtable discussions on both days.
You will leave renewed in your important work. Join us in Boston (or online) on August 4th and 5th!
