LaShell Pope, LMFT
LaShell Pope is a native of Dayton, Ohio and a graduate of Wright State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Communication and a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Amridge University. She moved to Marietta, GA in 1996 with her amazing husband, Michael of over 30 years and two beautiful daughters; Evan and Erin, to continue her career in banking.
She and her husband became disciples in 1997 and three years later, they were called to serve in the ministry full-time in January 2000. Since then she has served with her husband over the last 22 years in various cities throughout metro Atlanta and Savannah, GA and Southern California. As a Women’s Ministry Leader, LaShell has led women, youth and family, campus and married ministries; teaching and training them in biblical doctrine, life skills and offering pastoral counseling. Currently, she and her husband lead The Bridge Pointe Church in Marietta, GA.
As a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Certified Grief Counselor, she has worked for hospice organizations as a Chaplain and Bereavement Counselor. LaShell currently works in private practice offering tele-mental health in Marietta, Georgia, serving individuals, couples, families and the bereaved. Her mode of therapy is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gottman Methods and Solution Focused Therapy models. Helping people discover their “Authentic S.E.L.F” (Secure - Empowered- Loved- Faithfilled); by uncovering the jewel that God has created within them is her passion.
LaShell loves spending quality time with her family and friends eating great food, dancing and enjoying great music of all genres!
